Ladies and gentlemen, meet the new Ghostbusters!

Director Paul Feig made the casting announcement on Twitter when he released the above picture.

We’ve known for a little while that Melissa McCarthy was in talks to star and she’ll now not only be reuniting with her Bridesmaids director but co-star Kristen Wiig will be busting some ghosts too. I think they are two of the best comedic actresses around.

Joining them will be Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon who are well known in the US for their stints on Saturday Night Live.

Feig has also revealed the new movie, which will be a reboot of the franchise, will be released in the US on July 22, 2016. Let’s hope international audiences don’t have to wait even longer.
