Singer Mariah Carey will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next week.

Carey will be the recipient of the 2556th star in the category of recording.

She will be honoured outside the W Hotel at 6270 Hollywood Boulevard at 11.30am on August 5.

Carey’s guest speakers include music mogul LA Reid, film director Lee Daniels and director/producer Brent Ratner.

She’s currently promoting her latest album, #1 to Infinity, which was released in May.
