Ben Whishaw, Mark Gatiss, Leslie Manville, Hattie Morahan and John Simm are all taking part in a special live read of Homer’s The Iliad today.

The event is being staged by the Almeida Theatre and begins at 9am at the British Museum.

50 artists are taking part in the event including Simon Callow, Bertie Carvel, Brian Cox, Sinead Cusack, Monica Dolan, Julian Glover, Rory Kinnear, Simon Russell Beale and Samuel West.
