Those lucky Americans are being given the chance to see all three extended versions of The Hobbit in cinemas in October.

Unfortunately this seems to be only happening in the US, I haven’t heard of anything similar in the UK.

Over three nights all of the extended versions of Peter Jackson’s epic saga will be shown on the big screen – including the world premiere of The Battle of the Five Armies.

A trailer for the event has been released and while it might make non-US based fans a tad jealous, it does give us an idea of what we can expect to see in the DVD/Blu-Ray release.

Please can this happen in the UK as well?
