Cate Blanchett returns to the BFI London Film Festival tonight for the official screening of her film, Truth.
The film also stars Robert Redford, Elisabeth Moss, Topher Grace and Dennis Quaid and is about an episode of CBS’s flagship news programme 60 Minutes which was about George W Bush’s time in the Texas National Guard.
Redford plays anchor Dan Rather wth Blanchett as his producer, Mary Mapes.
I really enjoyed Truth immensely, it has fantastic performances, and engrossing story and asks questions about how the new is reported in the 21st century.
Following the Truth screening, Blanchett will be presented with the BFI Fellowship at the festival’s awards gala.
Jarvis Cocker is hosting the event with jury members Chiwetel Ejiofor and Kristin Scott Thomas among the expected guests.
Just one more day to go…but tomorrow’s going to be a good one!
