The first trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will debut today.

The trailer will air in America during Good Morning America, so expect it to hit the net any time after 12pm UK time.

There is a sneak preview though, as LucasFilm have released a teaser.

It features a new kind of stormtrooper, with iron-black armor and what looks like a flaming moisture farm vaporator in the background.

Rogue One is set just before the events depicted in 1977’s original Star Wars and chronicles the Rebel effort to steal the Empire’s plans for the first Death Star.

Felicity Jones stars alongside Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Forest Whitaker, Mads Mikkelsen, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Riz Ahmed and Alan Tudyk.
