JK Rowling has fuelled speculation Ginny Weasley and Draco Malfoy will be among the characters in the new Harry Potter play, The Cursed Child.

Rowling tweeted a concept drawing of wands for the production that include Harry, Ron and Hermione as well as Ginny and Draco.

No official announcement has been made about who will be playing the parts but I am sure fans would love to see two favourite characters return to the Potterverse.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts I and II follow the trials of an older Harry Potter who now works in the Ministry of Magic with a wife and three kids. His youngest son, Albus, is struggling with his family legacy. The show synopsis continues: “Both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.”

The plays begin previews at the Palace Theatre in London on June 7.
