Having already adapted the Nanny McPhee books for the cinema, Emma Thompson is now working on a stage musical.

Thompson will not only write the book and write the lyrics for the musical but she is also expected to direct it.

The production is expcted to workshop in October and the aim is for it to open in London in 2019.
