This year’s East End Film Festival will open with the world premiere of Alleycats, starring Poldark’s Eleanor Tomlinson.
The film charts the journey of a young woman whose brother is killed on the streets of London in a hit-and-run and who then must push herself to her mental and physical limits to find justice.
The Festival will close with a screening of feature documentary Gary Numan: Android In La La Land, which is to receive its European premiere at Edinburgh International Film Festival next month.
The 15th East End Film Festival takes place from June 23 to July 3.
Other highlights include Dexter Fletcher in A Punter’s Prayer, Steve Coogan and Andrea Riseborough in Shepherds And Butchers and The Childhood of a Leader, starring Robert Pattinson.
Hellboy star Ron Perlman and Sufragette director Sarah Gavron will also be at the Festival, as members of this year’s jury.
