Meryl Streep looks set to work with Emily Blunt for a third time as she’s in talks to join the cast of Mary Poppins Returns.
Streep is in talks to play the role of Mry Poppins’s cousin Topsy which would need her to show off her singing skills once again.
Emily Blunt will star as Mary Poppins in the film alongside Hamilton’s Lin Manuel Miranda who’s playing a street lamplighters called Jack.
The story follows the now grown-up Jane and Michael Banks, who, along with Michael’s three children, are visited by the enigmatic Mary Poppins following a personal loss. Through her unique magical skills, and with the aid of her friend Jack, she helps the family rediscover the joy and wonder missing in their lives.
Mary Poppins Returns is due to be released in December 2018.
