BAFTA Film Awards find a new home

This year’s BAFTA Film Awards will take place at the Royal Albert Hall.

The Awards are switching venue from the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden.

Stephen Fry will return as host, making the ceremony the 12th time he has presided over the event.

The BAFTAs have moved venue because the Royal Opera House is being refurbished. The Albert Hall previously staged the event from 1971-76.

The BAFTA Film Awards take place on February 13 and will be broadcast on BBC One, presumably on a delay (don’t get me started…).
