How likely is it Meryl Streep will score 21st Oscar nomination in January?

Well she’s starring alongside Tom Hanks in a Steven Spielberg directed film. So I’d say it’s pretty likely.

Here’s the first picture of Streep on set. She plays Washington Post publisher Katherine Graham.

The film tells the story of Graham’s and Post editor Ben Bradlee’s (Tom Hanks) infamous decision to publish a series of leaked articles entitled ‘The Pentagon Papers’ in 1971. The papers contained classified information regarding the Defense Department’s plans for the Vietnam War.

The Papers cast also includes Alison Brie, Carrie Coon, David Cross, Bruce Greenwood, Tracy Letts, Bob Odenkirk, Sarah Paulson, Jesse Plemons, Matthew Rhys, Michael Stuhlbarg, Bradley Whitford and Zach Woods.

The Papers is due to be released in the US on December 22nd and the UK on January 19th.
