If you’re counting down the days until the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, here’s something that might keep you going.

A new book, The Legends of Luke Skywalker, by Ken Liu follows a number of young deckhands working on a ship bound for Canto Bright (a planet we’ll get to know in The Last Jedi).

To pass the time, they swap stories about the fabled Luke Skywalker who no-one has seen for a number of years.

Six stories about the legend of Luke are told, including my favourite: Luke Skywalker is a myth created by the Rebellion. Really the guy claiming to be the Jedi legend is in fact called Luke Clodplodder and he orchestrated a huge scam with his pals on the Century Turkey.

The book will be released in the US in October 31 and in the UK on November 1.
