Matt Lucas, Ashley Jensen and Romesh Ranganathan are all voicing an animated special based on the Aliens Love Underpants books.

Sky One is making a one-off programme based on the Aliens Love Panta Claus story, written by Claire Freedman and illustrated by Ben Cort.

Lucas will give voice to Santa Claus with Jensen as his wife. Ranganathan will voice an alien, as will Joanna Page, Mathew Baynton and more to be announced.

Lucy Murphy, head of Sky Kids said: “This is a joyously silly story with such lovable characters and we know the whole family will love it – and won’t be able to stop singing along.”

The half-hour special will air on Sky One this Christmas.
