Benedict Cumberbatch, Claire Foy, Andrea Riseborough and Toby Jones are to star in a new film about English artist Louis Wain.
The film, which is due to begin shooting on 10th August, is a biopic of Wain who was best known for his drawings, which consistently featured anthropomorphised large-eyed cats and kittens.
In his later years he may have suffered from schizophrenia (although some specialists dispute this claim), which, according to some psychiatrists, can be seen in his work.
The film will be directed by Will Sharpe.
Studiocanal will release the film in the UK, France, Germany and Australia/NZ. Amazon will release in the US.
