Tennis legend John McEnroe will lend his voice to a new comedy series set to debut on Netflix.

Never Have I Ever is inspired by producer Mindy Kaling’s own childhood and follows the complicated life of a modern-day first-generation Indian American teenage girl.

McEnroe will play the lead character’s dead father, who will also narrate the show (sounds a bit How I Met Your Mother-ish to me).

No word yet on when we’ll get to see it.
