Tom Hiddleston has signed on to star in a new political thriller TV series for Netflix.

White Stork is  a 10-episode drama from the producers of Sex Education.

Hiddleston will play James Cooper who is selected to run for a seat in parliament.

However, Cooper has damaging secrets buried deep in his past that will threaten to blow everything apart — his career, his marriage, even the powerful people backing his campaign.

White Stork is described as a political thriller about the paradox of truth in a post-truth world.
