Former Ginger Spice Geri Halliwell has joined the cast of Gran Turismo, a big screen adaptation of the video game.

She will star alongside David Harbour, Orlando Bloom, Archie Madeke, Djimon Hounsou, Thomas Kretschmann, and Daniel Puig in the film, which is being directed by Neill Blomkamp.

The story follows a young gamer whose skills lead him to getting a riding gig with a real-life racing team.

Geri will be playing the young gamer’s mum.

The film is due to be released in August 2023.
