The first image of forthcoming drama Freud’s Last Session has been unveiled.

The film is currently shooting in Ireland, and stars Anthony Hopkins and Matthew Goode alongside Liv Lisa Fries, Jodi Balfour, Stephen Campbell Moore, Jeremy Northam and Orla Brady.

Freud’s Last Session is set on the eve of the Second World War, when at the end of his life, Freud (Hopkins) invites iconic author C.S. Lewis (Goode) to debate the existence of God.

Interweaving past, present and fantasy, the film explores Freud’s unique relationship with his daughter Anna (Fries), and Lewis’ unconventional relationship with his best friend’s mother.

A release date is yet to be announced.
