Acting legend Sir Michael Caine will publish his first novel later this year.

Deadly Game follows the unorthodox DCI Harry Taylor who is called in when a metal box of radioactive material is found at a dump in Stepney, East London, but before the police can arrive it is stolen in a violent raid.

The book has been inspired by a news report that Caine read about the discovery of uranium in London’s East End.

Speaking about his book, the author said: “It’s been my ambition for years to write a thriller. It’s the genre I most love to read, and I’ve really got a buzz out of working on Deadly Game. I hope readers enjoy getting to know Harry Taylor as much as I did.”

Deadly Game is due to be published on 23rd November.
