Gladiator II has been named the 2024 Royal Film Performance.

The film’s world premiere will take place on November 13th in central London. The event’s red carpet will be streamed to 30 cinemas around the UK.

It is expected to be attended by director Ridley Scott as well as star Paul Mescal. The cast also includes Pedro Pescal, Denzel Washington, Joseph Quinn, Fred Hechinger, Lior Raz, Derek Jacobi, and Connie Nielsen.

Gladiator II follows Lucius (Paul Mescal) (nephew of the first film’s protagonist) who is forced to enter the Colosseum after his home is conquered by the tyrannical Emperors who now lead Rome with an iron fist.

The film will be released in UK cinemas on November 15th and in the US on November 22nd.
