Anthony Hopkins’ memoir, We did OK, Kid, will be published later this year.
The book promises to give readers a “once-in-a-lifetime look into the brilliance behind some of his most iconic roles,” said its publishers.
The memoir “delves into his illustrious film and theatre career, difficult childhood and path to sobriety”.
Speaking about the book, Hopkins said: “There is a photograph I keep on my phone of my father and me on the beach when I was a child. I often tell that boy: ‘We did ok, kid.’ I wonder how a boy from Wales, the son of a baker, got here. My entire life is a great mystery. This book is my story.”
We did OK, Kid is expected to be published in November.
