The long-awaited sequel to The Social Network looks to be happening following the announcement that Aaron Sorkin has signed on to write and direct the project.

Sorkin won an Academy Award for writing the first film, which was directed by David Fincher.

According to reports, the new film is not a straight sequel. Instead, it will focus on the story behind a series of articles published in the Wall Street Journal that exposed the inner workings of — and multiple harms caused by — the world’s largest social network.

No word on whether intends to approach Jesse Eisenberg to reprise the role of Mark Zuckerberg.
