Netflix has released the first image from its adaptation of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice.

Filming is officially underway on the series, which stars Emma Corrin as Elizabeth Bennet and Jack Lowden as Mr Darcy.

The cast also includes Olivia Colman and Rufus Sewell as Mr and Mrs Bennet, Freya Mavor as Jane Bennet, Rhea Norwood, as Lydia and newcomers Hollie Avery and Hopey Parish as Kitty and Mary.

Louis Partridge will take on the role of Mr Wickham with Jamie Demetriou as Mr Collins and Fiona Shaw as Lady Catherine de Bourg.
