Aaron Sorkin has revealed he wants to write a film that could be a sequel to the Oscar-winning The Social Network.

Speaking to The Town podcast, Sorkin said he’s been thinking about how Facebook and social media have influenced democracy since the original film’s release

“Look, yeah, I’ll be writing about this,” he said. “I blame Facebook for January 6.”

When asked why he blames social media for pro-Donald Trump mob storming the U.S. Capitol, Sorkin replied, “You’re going to need to buy a movie ticket.”
