A few weeks ago news broke the American TV channel ABC was considering brining The Muppets back to the small screen.

They had asked producers Bill Prady and Bob Kushell to put together a ‘pilot presentation’ which was rumoured to be along the lines of the gang working on a late-night talk show.

Now more details about the planned series, which looks like it will be given the greenlight, have emerged.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the new series featuring Kermit, Piggy, Fozzie et al Will have a 30 Rock feel and be shot mockumentary style.

In a major change to anything Muppet-related we’ve seen before, the show will also for the first time ever explore the Muppets’ personal lives and relationships, both at home and at work, as well as romances, break-ups, achievements, disappointments, wants and desires.

Muppet desires? Muppet break-ups?? Oh dear….
