He’s playing Lyndon B Johnson is the HBO film, All The Way.

The film is an adaptation of the Broadway play of the same name (which I was lucky enough to see). Cranston won a Tony Award for his portrayal as Johnson, but he didn’t look quite so different on stage!

The film follows Johnson during his tumultuous first year in office as he takes the oath in the wake of President Kennedy’s assassination, navigates the escalation of the Vietnam War and balances opposing interests to launch his landmark civil rights bill and win election to his first full presidential term.

The supporting cast includes Anthony Mackie, Melissa Leo, Bradley Whitford, Stephen Root and Frank Langella.
