The first image from Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander’s new film has been released.

The pair star in The Light Between Oceans, based on ML Stedman’s novel of the same name.

The story follows a lighthouse keeper and his wife who find a baby and a dead body in a rowboat and decide to raise the child as their own in post-World War I Australia.

The film is directed by Derek Cianfrance and will be released later in the year.
