A possible spin-off from Osar-nominated film Brooklyn is being developed for TV and it could star Julie Walters.
The film’s producers are in talks with the BBC about developing a series set in Mrs Keogh’s boarding house.
They hope to persuade Walters, who played Mrs Keogh in the film, to lead the cast of the series. Saorsie Ronan isn’t expected to appear in the show.
The series is also being developed with the blessing of author Colm Toibin, whose book the film was based on.
I’d love to see Julie Walters back on TV and I can really see this series fitting into the BBC Sunday evening ‘Call The Midwife’ slot so I hope it happens.
