David Walliams has written a book of short stories which will be published in May.
The World’s Worst Children is described as a “unique take on the classic cautionary tale” with short stories featuring characters such as Dribbling Drew, a boy whose drool gets him into trouble, and Sofia Sofa, a TV super-fan who spends so much time on the sofa she’s turning into one.
“I loved writing this collection of stories, as I left my imagination run completely wild,” said Walliams.
“There is huge emphasis on surreal humour in this book. I hope children around the world will enjoy it, even the most reluctant reader.”
The World’s Worst Children will be published in the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Canada on May 19th and there’ll also be an audio version read by Walliams himself.
