Episode VIII director Rian Johnson has offered a glimpse behind the scenes on the film’s set, confirming that Lupita Nyong’o’s character Maz Kanata will return in the new film.

Episode VIII is currently shooting at Pinewood Studios in London with the majority of the cast from Episode VII returning. They’ll be joined by Laura Dern who has an unannounced role in the new film.

Episode VIII is due for release in December 2017.
