Tom Cruise appears to have completely ignored the title of his latest film, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, because that’s exactly what he’s done.

Never Go Back takes its name from Lee Child’s 18th Jack Reacher novel and follows Jack on an adventure where he attempts to clear the name of an army major – with assistance from a woman who may (or may not) share a history with Reacher.

Cobie Smulders co-stars as a major who Reacher helps after she is accused of being a spy, while Danika Yarosh is the young lady whose presence forces Reacher to deal with “deep-rooted personal issues of his own,”.

US TV show Entertainment Tonight has debuted the first footage from the film.
