Netflix have bought the rights to show the new Star Trek series internationally.

The show is due to debut on CBS All Areas in the US in January.

Netflix will be the exclusive home of the series in 188 countries, excluding the US and Canada. Each episode of the series will be available globally within 24 hours of its American premiere.

As part of the deal, Netflix has also bought all 727 episodes of the previous including Star Trek: The Original Series, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager and Star Trek: Enterprise.
