Christopher Guest’s new comedy Mascots will be released on Netflix on October 13.

The film stars Jane Lynch, Parker Posey, Fred Willard, Ed Begley, Jr, Christopher Moynihan, Don Lake, Brad Williams, Zach Woods, Chris O’Dowd, Susan Yeagley, Sarah Baker, Tom Bennett, Kerry Godliman, Bob Balaban, Jennifer Coolidge, Michael Hitchcock, Maria Blasucci, John Michael Higgins, and Jim Piddock.

The story follows all the drama, intrigue and occasional excitement of the 8th World Mascot Association Championships, where a group of “unusual” men and women, with big heads and furry suits, compete to win the prestigious gold fluffy award and be crowned best mascot in the world.

The comedy is Guest’s first feature film since 2006’s For Your Consideration.

I always enjoy Christopher Guest’s films and that cast list is pretty incredible. I’m intrigued to see how it turns out.
