The always brilliant Allison Janney will be honoured in Hollywood on October 17.

She will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame – and Monday will be Allison Janney day in Hollywood.

Among the speakers at Janney’s ceremony will be Chuck Lorre, who produces her sitcom Mom, and Richard Schiff who starred alongside Janney in the greatest TV series ever, The West Wing.

As well as being a fantastic dramatic actress, Janney is a wonderful comedian – she’s won Emmys in both dramatic and comedic categories.

It’s hard to pick just one instance of her amazing acting in The West Wing, but this still makes laugh every time I watch it.
