After a two year wait, BBC One’s Last Tango in Halifax will return for two special episodes over the festive period.
The final episode of series three pulled in eight million viewers and promised the show would return, but it’s been a long wait for fans of Celia, Alan and co.
Now it’s been announced the Yorkshire set drama will be back with two new episodes set two years after the events of series three.
Caroline (Sarah Lancashire) has found a new job and a new home, which hasn’t gone down well with her mother Celia (Anne Reid).
Meanwhile Celia and Alan (Derek Jacobi) are busy finding fame when Celia lands a part in the local production of Blithe Spirit. Plus, Gillian (Nicola Walker) has to contend with issues from her past coming back to haunt her – how will they affect her relationship with Robbie (Dean Andrews)?
No word yet on exactly when the specials will air.
