Poldark will be back to cheer up Sunday nights in June.

The BBC has confirmed Aidan Turner and Eleanor Tomlinson will return as Ross Poldark and Demelza for a summer run this year, but they haven’t given a definite start date, just that the show will be on air in June.

Last year Poldark struggled to reach the same high ratings as its first season, losing out to ITV’s Victoria.

The BBC says the ratings issue hasn’t affected the decision of when the new series will air, insisting they’re giving fans a “summer treat”.
