Benedict Cumberbatch has begun fling new BBC drama, The Child in Time, based in the novel by Ian McEwan.

Cumberbatch is joined in the drama by Kelly Macdonald, Steohen Campbell Moore and Saskia Reeves.

The story follows children’s author Steohen Lewis who struggles to find purpose in life following the disappearance of his daughter two years earlier.

The one-off 90-minute drama will air on BBC One in the UK and is co-produced by PBS Masterpiece in the US.
