Sue Perkins is heading back to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe for the first time since 2006.
The Great British Bake Off host will be without her comedy partner Mel Giedroyc though, as she’s performing a one woman show at the Pleaseance.
It’s the first time Perkins has performed a full show at the Fringe since her Disappointing Secund Show in 2006.
Star of Ken Loach’s I, Daniel Blake, Dave Johns is also performing at the Pleasance – his first show in 18 years.
Other TV names playing the venue. include Sara Pascoe, Nina Conti Nick Helm, Pippa Evans, Dane Baptiste, Gary Delaney, James Acaster and Matt Forde.
John Bishop and Jason Manford will also be in Edinburgh for shows at Underbelly.
Bishop will perform 14 shows in the 278-seater Cow Barn. They will be previews of his Winging It autumn tour and run from August 12 to 25.
Jason Manford is bringing his ‘work in progress’ shows ahead of next year’s Muddle Class tour. He will be at the Fringe from August 14 to 20.
