Mamma Mia here they go again…

Filming has begun on the sequel to Mamma Mia as more cast members have been confirmed.

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again is set to be released in Juky 2018.

Meryl Streep, Julie Walters, Christine Baranski, Amanda Seyfried, Dominic Cooper, Pierce Brosnan, Stellan Skarsgard and Colin Firth as all returning to the roles they played in the first film.

The sequel will travel back and forth in time in order to show how various relationships grew and how the past can resonate in the present.

Lily James is playing the younger version of Streep’s character Donna, Alexa Davies is a younger Rosie (Walters), and Jessica Keenan Wynn plays a younger Tanya (Baranski).

Jeremy Irvine joins the cast as the younger Sam (Brosnan), Josh Dylan is the younger Bill (Starsgard) and W1A star Hugh Skinner is playing the younger version of Colin Firth’s character Harry.

The new film features an original story and will incorporate songs heard in the first one as well as additional ABBA tunes. Ol Parker, who wrote the script, also directs.
