If, like me, you’ve been anxiously waiting for the launch date of Benedict Cumberbatch’s new drama, then wait no more!

The first episode of Patrick Melrose will be available on demand from Sunday 13 May and air at 9pm that day on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV. It will also simulcast with Showtime in the US at 2am that morning.

Based on the acclaimed semi-autobiographical novels by Edward St Aubyn, the five-part drama follows the harrowing yet hilarious journey of Melrose, played by Cumberbatch, in a story that sweeps through the South of France in the 60s, New York in the 80s and Britain in the early 2000s.

The star-studded cast also includes Hugo Weaving, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Anna Madeley, Blythe Danner, Allison Williams, Pip Torrens, Jessica Raine, Prasanna Puwanarajah, Holliday Grainger, Indira Varma and Celia Imrie.
