Having already conquered both TV and theatre (she’s starring in a new production of Much Ado About Nothing), Mel Giedroyc is now turning her attention to fiction.

She has signed a two-book deal, with her first novel due to be published in summer 2019.

The book is called The Best Things and is described as a “funny, warm, life-affirming” novel following a family that loses everything—only to find themselves in the process.

Giedroyc said she’s delighted that publishers Headline has “taken me into its stable and bosom.”
