Peter Capaldi and Armando Iannucci are reuniting.

Unfortunately, that doesn’t mean we’re about to see more Malcolm Tucker. Instead Capaldi has joined the cast of Iannucci’s new film The Secret Life of David Copperfield.

Iannucci announced the news on Twitter this afternoon with the below photo.

Capaldi joins the previously announced Dev Patel, Tilda Swinton, Hugh Laurie and Ben Wishaw.

He will play Mr Micawber in the fresh take on Charles Dickens’ story, written by Iannucci and Simon Blackwell. Micawber was incarcerated in debtors’ prison after failing to meet his creditors’ demands.

Production on the film is set to start next month.
