More of the cast for the upcoming Downton Abbey film has been announced, including Imelda Staunton, real-life wife of Jim Cater aka Mr Carson.

It’s thought she’ll be playing the Earl of Grantham’s cousin.

Staunton joins the cast alongside Geraldine James, Simon Jones, David Haig, Tuppence Middleton, Kate Phillips and Stephen Campbell Moore.

Filming is now imminent, with cameras set to roll on September 10th, although no release date has been announced yet.
