After 57 years in show business, Basil Brush will make his Edinburg Festival Fringe debut this summer.
The national treasure will appear in two shows, one for adults and the other for kids.
He’ll be performing Unleashed at the Underbelly Cow Barn at 6.45pm daily and promises to take on ‘everything from Love Island to Westminster’ alongside nightly guests.
A separate Family Fun Show takes place in the same venue at 1pm for the first two weeks of the festival.
Originally voiced and performed by Ivan Owen, Basil had his own TV show from 1964 to 1984, and he made a comeback in 2002 for a children’s BBC series for a further five years.
He has also appeared in The Chase, Bruce Forsyth’s The Generation Game, The Weakest Link, Celebrity Juice and The Last Leg.
