A musical version of the classic Christmas film Miracle on 34th Street will take to the stage in Liverpool this Christmas.
It will run at the Liverpool Playhouse from 7th December to 4th January 2020.
The production has book, music and lyrics by Meredith Willson, and is based on George Seaton’s original ’40s screenplay, which was re-made for the screen in 1994 starring Richard Attenborough. I’ll be honest, I love the Attenborough version.
Set between Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, the story follows a man, Kris Kringle, who claims to be the true Santa Claus. It features classic festive hits including It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas.
Cast details have not been announced.
