It looks like Peter Capaldi’s signed up for his first superhero film.

According to Deadline, the former Doctor Who star has joined the cast of James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad.

No details of Capaldi’s role have been revealed.

If he has signed on for the superhero sequel, Capaldi will be joining a cast that already includes Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag), Idris Elba, David Dastmalchian (Polka-Dot Man), Daniela Melchior (Ratcatcher), Flula Borg, Steve Agee (King Shark), Nathan Fillion and Taika Waititi.

Filming is due to begin in Atlanta on 23rd September.
