It looks like Amazon’s much anticipated Lord of the Rings series has found one of its lead actors.

According to Variety, British actor Will Poulter has been cast as one of the show’s leads – although it doesn’t give any details as to who that character might be.

He’s not the first actor to be linked to the series, earlier this summer Variety also reported Australian actress Markella Kavenagh was in talks for a role in the series as well.

Both Amazon and Poulter’s people have declined to comment on the report.

Be nice to see an actor who was in CS Lewis’ The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe films to also feature in an adaptation of JRR Tolkien’s work.
