HBO has released the first teaser trailer for Avenue 5, the new series from The Thick of It/Veep creator Armando Iannucci.

The show is set 40 years in the future when the solar system is everyone’s oyster.

It stars Hugh Laurie as Captain Ryan Clark alongside Josh Gad, Zach Woods, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Rebecca Front (aka The Thick of It’s Nicola Murray), Lenora Crichlow, Suzy Nakamura and Ethan Phillips.

The trailer looks like another Iannucci classic.

Avenue 5 is set to premiere on HBO in January.
