The BBC has confirmed the launch date for the new series of Doctor Who.

As expected, the new series will launch on New Year’s Day on BBC One with an episode titled Spyfall.

Subsequent episodes will then air on Sundays, with the time yet to be announced.

The show will also return to BBC America on January 1st.

The new series sees Jodie Whittaker back again as the Thirteenth Doctor, alongside Tosin Cole (Ryan), Mandip Gill (Yaz) and Bradley Walsh (Graham).

Doctor Who’s 12th series will also welcome a host of famous faces including Stephen Fry, Sir Lenny Henry CBE, Robert Glenister and Goran Višnjić.
